I had the pleasure of taking their Island Drop ferry ride to Bulls Island on the day of the solar eclipse. I wasn't sure what to expect upon boarding the ferry, but it completely exceeded anything I could imagine. Captain Will was an abundant source of information regarding the local flora/fauna & history of the area. The experience on Bulls Island itself was, as a fellow passenger described it to me, 'magical'. I could not agree more... coupled with the solar eclipse & limited number of people on the island, it really was an experience my family & I will never forget. Will more than likely come back during another vacation just to take another trip to the island (would like to see the Boneyard next time).
We went on the isle of palms kayak expedition with Dallas. We absolutely LOVED it, especially because of Dallas. So glad we had him as a guide, without him i'd likely be stuck in the weeds still figuring my left from right. Or capsizing. Or both!
We just left from there. We went kayaking without a guide but still had a blast. It was such a fun experience for my boyfriend and I. And an awesome way to start off our morning. Lots of wildlife to see. We got to see the head of a turtle, tons of birds, different kinds of crabs, and tons of fish jumping. I would definitely recommend going to coastal expeditions!

Coastal Expeditions has THREE awesome on-water locations to take a tour or just rent from, plus the Ferry to Bulls Island; I enjoy kayaking with Coastal expeditions their gear is always top notch and their detailed instructions go a long way when it's your first time paddling!
Is there anything more lovely on a hot summer's day than kayaking through the sweetgrass? A fantastic way to spend a few hours, and the staff at Coastal Expeditions are very professional.
Spotted lots of awesome wildlife, even a mink! Some beautiful rustic scenerary too as well as some fun slaloms and shortcuts with Dallas! We left wanting to return almost right away (and we will).
