After arriving to check in, well after the 4 pm time, our room was still not yet available due to a "smell" issue. We were then placed in a double queen room, though we had booked a king. Staff was not very accommodating in rectifying this situation.
I do not plan to return here to stay due to the confusion and attitudes of the staff.
Luckily, the golf course was in pretty good shape and the weather wonderful. The bartenders and manager at the Salty Goat were the highlight of our stay. They provided the best service we had and the food was delicious (definitely recommend the Taco Tuesday treats).
I understand that it is the off season but one of the restaurants had "electrical issues" one day and had no food available...staff suggested I walk to the other restaurant several minutes away. It didn't seem like any big deal to them at all.
Several staff members in guest services were either rude and talked over me when I called to ask about ordering in room dining, connecting me to a closed restaurant or hanging up the phone without so much as a goodbye or to make sure that our questions...which were few...were answered.
The location is great. The isle of palms and the respective beaches are wonderful. The resort is nice with excellent large rooms and patios (at least at the villages). The one bummer is that the place is unusually spread out and food is difficult to find other than the hotel option. Rooms can be quite pricey in the summer but a decent deal in the shoulder months. It is mixed in with a gated community. You won't want for amenities.
Great place to have a business meeting. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is delicious. Will definitely go back!
This was my family's first stay at Wild Dunes and it could not have been any better! The suite was exquisite! I always take my own cleaning supplies along when staying away from home so I can clean the way that I like things. It was unnecessary in our suite at The Village!! Everything was perfect already! There are top notch amenities and plenty to do without ever leaving the property. The staff throughout resort were kind and helpful. The property is also very secure, which is import to me. We will stay here again and again.
Rented a condo through WD for a busy summer holiday weekend. Reservations staff was friendly and accommodating when our selected property wasn't available for the time we needed. Listened to our needs and found our group a similar property. While on the resort, we took advantage of the beach, pool, bike rental, golf, tennis, and the playground. A perfect location for our mixed-age group. We will definitely be back again soon!
